Ngaruawahia High School Yearbook . . .
At the beginning of the season the boys were entered in a Division too high for their abilities and found the going very tough. Part-way through the season they were dropped back one Division to the 3rd and won every game they played.
The best game was against Waitara High School in August where total teamwork was in evidence in the NHS side, and they were unlucky to lose 2-3.
Generally speaking every team member played a good year’s soccer and marked improvement was shown by the termination of the season in October, leaving good prospects for 1969.
Robin Bell was adjudged the Most Improved player. Howard Pharo received the Most Outstanding award.
