21-0 Defeat Improved Upon

Jeffrey McLaughlin tightened up Ngaruawahia’s play in their match against AFFCO in Hamilton at the weekend. The Ngaruawahia 4th Division team had an earlier loss, 21-nil, at the feet of Fraser Tech, and then won through a default by Wanderers. Although the score of 6-0 did not indicate it, it was an interesting and evenly matched game. The Ngaruawahia players lifted their game considerably and were unlucky not to score on several occasions, although the AFFCO keeper was very good.

Ian Todd Gets a Brace

Ian Todd notched his first two goals of the season when he netted against Cambridge in the 2nd Division match at Ngaruawahia. However it was the visitors who took home the two points with a 4-2 win.
