7th Grade Soccer

Ngaruawahia 7th Grade made a fine start to the soccer season by defeating Marist “C” at Hamilton.

Tommy Connors scored a hat-trick with Terry Smith adding his. Players to stand above the good play of the rest of the team were Tommy Connors, Fred Timothy, Andy Bell and Jeff Gray.

The 9th grade narrowly went down to Vardon 1-0 with shots hitting the post. A shot by K. McGee was dropped on the line by the Vardon keeper but could not be capitalised on.

Games on Saturday will all be at Ngaruawahia at the High School – 7th grade v Peachgrove B, 10.00: 9th grade v Nawton, 10.00: 12th grade v Marist, 10.00.
