International visitors watch Narra win over Melville . . .

Visitors from Scotland watch their cousin Hamish Marsh net twice.

The Green Machine netted five times in their home match against table-toppers Melville with a 5-2 win. Goals came off the boots of Rory Kerr-Bell (2), Hamish Marsh (2) and Keegan Stewart. The previously undefeated Melville Young Old Boys found the net twice in the second spell through Jason Chewins and Kieren Frewen. Kieren’s worm-burner of a goal from 20 meters out was arguably the best goal of the game.
This result brings Narra to within three points of Melville with the luxury of a game in hand (over Te Aroha).

It rained 57 goals!

The four junior sides netted 20 times this morning but conceded 27.
Three of the encounters were decidedly one-sided with our 8th Grade Ninjas (girls) romping away to an 18-0 crushing of their opponents, while the 8th Noise and the 8th Knights came away 0-10 and 0-12 respectively. The netters had a more even clash but went down 2-4.
The Senior Mens’ team had a 4-0 win over West Hamilton with Zabir Azizi netting twice complimented by Hamish Marsh (penalty) and Rory Kerr-Bell.
Our women’s side had a 5-2 win over Unicol with goals to Donna (2), Bae-Lee (penalty), Jeanette and Chelsea.

Eight goals shared around . . .
